End of guided busway, Ellenbrook
The busway runs for 4.5 miles, from East Bond Street in Leigh to Newearth Road in Ellenbrook. Historically a railway line, the route is now part of National Cycle Route 55 and continues to do so alongside the busway, in the form of a bridleway.

First Group runs two services along the busway, V1 from Leigh and V2 from Atherton, which terminate at Stephenson Square in Manchester - also making use of the A580 bus lane on the way.
