The ford at Keisby last flooded in 2012 and previously in 2007 according to the owner of Manor Farm House. The large pond which feeds the culverted ford was constructed by his father in 1976, the year of the famous drought. Further information can be found at:

The water table here is linked to the Welland and the Witham and the local source is the East Glen River. Flooding here will mirror flooding at Little Humby and Birthorpe which are also dry except in exceptional times. At such times the ford extends right up to the gate of the Manor.
