NS2472 : Overflow of disused reservoir

taken 3 years ago, near to Chrisswell, Inverclyde, Great Britain

Overflow of disused reservoir
Overflow of disused reservoir
This channel cuts through the dam of the reservoir; I took it to be an overflow.

Old OS maps show a sluice house nearby; there did not appear to be any definite traces of it nearby, although there was a jumble of loose stones alongside one part of the quarry-like feature shown in NS2472 : Edge of a disused reservoir.

It was raining heavily when this picture was taken.
