Radcliffe Civic Suite Demolition Site
Radcliffe Civic Suite on Thomas Street, which could cater for up to 400 people and was used to host community events, shows and weddings, was opened by the then-Prime Minister Harold Wilson in March 1974. Its closure was announced during the latter half of 2015. It closed in April 2016; demolition work began in June and was completed by early July. The site is designated for housing development (LinkExternal link Manchester Evening News).
