Race for Life - finish area
The positions are approximate on the north end of the Worcester race course at Pitchcroft. This is the annual race by ladies in pink to raise money for breast cancer research.
As we age cancer becomes ever more common with about a 1 in 3 lifetime risk of developing one of the many varieties of the disease. Survival is improving but many of the new treatments are not cheap and rationing is a real issue. I spend much of my time at work diagnosing cancer on tissue samples.
