Portmeirion is a popular tourist village in Gwynedd, North Wales. It was designed and built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975 in the style of an Italian village. LinkExternal link

The village was used as the set in 1967 tv series "The Prisoner" tv-series LinkExternal link , starring Patrick McGoohan.

Portmeirion is also famous for its pottery company which was co-founded by Susan Williams-Ellis, daughter of Clough Williams-Ellis, and her husband Euan Cooper-Willis.
