Junction of Caton Road and Heysham Link Road
Looking north towards Lune West Bridge. Tarmac laying of the new junction is nearing completion.
Closure of northbound access onto the M6 for nearly 10 days has enabled rapid progress to be made. (Compare with SD4964 : Junction of Caton Road and Heysham Link Road.)
The old M6 Junction 34 northbound entry slip road, which used to cross the photo in front of the bridge, has been removed, allowing the connections with the bridge to be made.
This will enable the new northbound entry slip road to be opened, accessed via the new bridge.
