Kirkstall Abbey - reredorter (2)
Looking down into a pair of privies in the reredorter (lavatory) in the part of the abbey known as the guest house. "En suite" it was not, but 13th century monks and their guests still had better sanitary systems than much of the world's population today. Grade 2 listed (list entry 1256647).
