Royal Gunpowder Factory Waltham Abbey - locomotive
This is Avonside narrow gauge (18") locomotive No. 1748 of 1916 and built for Woolwich Royal Arsenal. It later worked at Bicton Woodland Railway (hence BWR on the cabside) and was then moved to Waltham Abbey. In 2011 it was moved on loan for restoration and use on a planned railway at Crossness Pumping Station. This is still a work in progress and the engine has yet to run.
