Steam on the Dock - Albert Dock
Steam on the Dock - Albert Dock
Liverpool's first urban steam rally. I must say there was nothing like as much steam as I had hoped for but quality helped offset quantity. This is Lilla, borrowed from the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway for use on a short demonstration line. She is a Hunslet Engine Co 0-4-0 ST of 1891 (No. 554) built for Cilgwyn Quarry and later used at Penrhyn. She is now based on the Ffestiniog. It was difficult to get a good picture of her due to the crowds and clutter and I also rather forgot to try for a better angle.
