Bridge carrying Bow Goods branch
Bridge carrying Bow Goods branch
This bridge carries a short freight branch over the River Lea (or Lee) which carries traffic connected with the Bow Midland Aggregate depot situated out of sight to the left - see TQ3783 : Bow Midland Aggregate Depot, Wick Lane, E3. The line was constructed by the Midland Railway which disappeared in 1923 but whose name still lives in this somewhat obscure location.
