Thatched shelter at Rodley nature reserve
This would be a welcome shelter if a sudden heavy shower swept across the valley.
Rodley nature reserve

The nature reserve now occupies most of the site of the former Rodley sewage works on the north side of the river Aire near Kirkstall. Started in 1999, it now provides several hides for birdwatchers, and a visitor centre. Apart from the bird-friendly wetlands created from former settling ponds, the volunteers at the reserve have also planted wildflower meadows and grow crops for birdseed. Yorkshire Water still has a small operational site within it.
