Former bank, Lisburn Road, Belfast
Former bank, Lisburn Road, Belfast
This former branch of the Northern Bank was (as I remember) built in the early 70’s. Disused for some time it has become an out-of-place eyesore in what is, generally, quite an attractive, busy and fashionable area. Fortunately it seems to have been sold for offices (and not apartments). Ulsterville Avenue is on the left. Continue to J3372 : Former bank, Lisburn Road, Belfast (2).

J3372 : New apartments, Lisburn Road, Belfast (19) shows the replacement building in its final form.
117 Lisburn Road, Belfast redevelopment

Although originally intended as an office building, the former bank site is being redeveloped as “managed student accommodation consisting of 38NR one bedroom apartments”.
