Disused Parish Church at Stoneykirk
Disused Parish Church at Stoneykirk
The village of Stoneykirk developed around (and took its name from) its parish church. The present church building was erected in 1827, replacing the original, mediæval church which was dedicated to St. Stephen and is believed to have been built between the 12th and 14th centuries.

The church has been unused since 1988 and its windows are boarded up. It is on the register of buildings at risk (Historic Scotland reference: 16728 LinkExternal link ).
