A 'Pacer' train stands in Chathill station
Chathill is at the northern extent of the commuter routes from Newcastle and it is served by just two return trains a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. Given the inconvenient times of trains, it is not a station that I imagined that I could visit by rail. However, being at Alnmouth in the early evening, I realised that I could do the round trip to here before returning to Newcastle.
