Heath Spotted Orchid
Heath Spotted Orchid
Despite its alternative name of the Moorland Spotted Orchid, Dactylorhiza maculata, this plant prefers sunny spots in the lowlands and hillsides, rather than upland moors. This particular specimen was growing at the side of a stream or path-drain.
