NJ2967 : Grayling (Hipparchia semele)

taken 8 years ago, 3 km from Lochhill, Moray, Scotland

Grayling (Hipparchia semele)
There were quite a few of these around today. They are fairly common along this stretch of coast. This is a very faded and rather ragged specimen - compare with NO7047 : Grayling Butterfly (Hipparche semele).
