NJ2668 : Not Quite Gone

taken 8 years ago, 4 km ESE of Lossiemouth, Moray, Scotland

Not Quite Gone
Not Quite Gone
This is a bit of a puzzle, because the line of tank traps disappeared into the dunes about 600 metres east of here (see NJ2768 : Disappearing Defences). This pill box has apparently slid down the face of the dune, but why was it built here, on the seaward side of the line of defences? Compare with NJ2668 : Pill Box on the Slant, taken the previous year.
