NR8585 : The Egg House

taken 2 years ago, near to Ardrishaig, Argyll And Bute, Great Britain

The Egg House
The Egg House
This building on Ardrishaig pier is normally hidden from casual view.I got a look today when the old oil terminal was opened as part of a public consultation on the future of the Crinan Canal.
The building is thought to be called the Egg House because fish roe were supposedly extracted here. Certainly, the building had direct access to moored vessels through the now-bricked-up doorways.
