W5246 : Telefón Box

taken 8 years ago, near to Kilbrittain, Co Cork, Ireland

Telefón Box
Telefón Box
These Telefón Eiran boxes are pretty rare in Ireland these days - I guess, killed off for the same reason that the UK boxes are being shut down and removed - because everyone these days have mobile phones.

Still - it's great to see these still in use in rural locations like this in Kilbrittain village, Co. Cork.

The pink building to the left used to be the local Kilbrittain's post office, hence the colocation of the telephone box.
