Spillway for Bonaly Reservoir, Pentland Hills
The spillway at the end of the dam, constructed in the 1850s as a water supply for Edinburgh by Edinburgh & District Water Trust. The dam is shown by itself on the 1885 OS 6" map and the reservoir appears on the 1895 sheet. Nowadays the reservoir is owned by the City of Edinburgh Council and is no longer part of the supply system.
