NZ2770 : Ex- Jobcentre This building, correctly described as an ex job centre, before it was the job centre was the Westmoor Co-operative Shop,with butchery, clothing and grocery departments. Above the shops was the Co-op Hall, which could be rented out for weddings, dances etc and was the scene of many Christmas pantomimes , amateur theatre and shows. I remember it being used for these events in the 1940s and very early 50s. By 1957, it had become the job centre.
