Row Pond at Hardwick Hall
The five row ponds at Hardwick, which date from before the construction of the New Hall in 1597, were created to provide the estate with fresh fish and duck for the table. Fishing still continues today, these ponds are fished by the Bess of Hardwick Angling Club.
