The stand previously at the Racecourse End has been moved to the City End of Derbyshire County Cricket Ground (left of centre on the far side). Out in the middle the Leicestershire captain, Mark Cosgrove, was on his way to 95 not out as the visitors fell 60 short of Derbyshire's first innings 307.
After a hot and sunny morning, the afternoon became cloudier and stickier.
