DMU at Winchcombe
DMU at Winchcombe
A three car DMU - I don't know enough about these to tell you what class it is - arrives at Winchcombe station on the Gloucester & Warwickshire Railway. The station here was completely demolished in the 1980s: literally all that was left was a ballasted trackbed and the old goods shed, which is just visible in the background. The GWR have done a superb job reconstructing this station. The main building, on the right, was originally built at Monmouth Troy and was purchased by the GWR for fifty quid and carefully dismantled before being re erected here.
