The Game of Kings - a Rook on George Street
The Game of Kings - a Rook on George Street
Another horse by Andy Scott. The Rook is a chariot horse, evoking the Persian definition of the piece, straining under the reins, with bridle, collar and feathered head-dress. This is part of a project to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Edinburgh jewellers Hamilton & Inches.
The Game of Kings

A project in celebration of the majesty of the horse, the game of chess and the 150th anniversary of Hamilton & Inches, Edinburgh jewellers and silversmiths. When completed, on commission, each piece, in Sterling silver, will be about 30cm high. The full collection will be presented on a 2m x 2m gaming table crafted from hardwood and leather by Scottish cabinet makers Method Studio.
