Site for cycle route bridge, River Ebbw, Aberbeeg
A bridge for cycles will be erected here across the River Ebbw. The weir at the mouth of the Ebbw Fach river is centre background. The river bank on the left (west) has been strengthened by replacing the damaged gabions SO2001 : River Ebbw, Aberbeeg with boulders. On the other bank a wide trench has been excavated from the raised bank and part of the adjacent road. The larch plantation on the hillside, right upper background, is being clear felled to restrict the spread of arboreal pathogens.
