Hemingford Grey: the Great Ouse and St James's tower
Only the tower and the base of the spire remain: the spire of the Grade I listed parish church was blown down in 1741. Inside, flowers were being arranged for Sunday and the church was full of the chrysanthemum smell so redolent of autumn.
