Tiger crossing, Parliament Square
Tiger crossing, Parliament Square
The comma in the title is crucial - no wild animals involved! A tiger crossing is parallel pedestrian and cycle lanes at a signalled road crossing. This one is on London's new East-West Cycle Superhighway.
Central London Cycle Superhighways

To supplement the existing cycle "superhighways" on radial routes from the suburbs, two new and largely segregated routes have been added across the city centre, the east-west one running largely along the north side of the Thames.
