Falmouth Docks
This is the outermost quay of the main dock complex with the dry docks glimpsed beyond and the leisure centre on the skyline above. The vessel is he tug St Piran - (named after the Patron Saint of Cornwall), was formerly named the Hallgarth and has a top speed of 10 knots. St Piran is A&P Falmouth’s fastest and most powerful tug, with 20.5 tonnes of bollard pull. The 28 metre vessel is also manoeuvrable thanks to twin multi-directional propulsion units instead of a conventional rudder.
