Law Ting Holm on Loch of Tingwall
Law Ting Holm on Loch of Tingwall
The site of the Shetland Parliament for many centuries is the small one-time islet on Loch of Tingwall. Tingwall is the anglicized version of Thingvellir (Iceland) and Dingwall (Mainland Scotland) where 'Things" were held - the parliament. There is a good interpretive board in the Parking Area.
