SP3211 : Minster Lovell Hall
taken 8 years ago, near to Minster Lovell, Oxfordshire, England
The ruins of the mid C15th Minster Lovell Hall lie between the church of St Kenelm Link and the River Windrush in a very attractive and picturesque site. The hall fell into a ruinous condition in the mid C18th, though an engraving of 1729 Link suggests it was still in good condition as late as this.
The manor and hall were owned by a number of different people since its construction in 1431/32 for William 7th Lord Lovell. It is now in the care of English Heritage (see Link )
A plan of the ruins can be seen here Link
It is EH Grade I listed Link
and the site is a listed Ancient Monument Link
