SD4894 : Spring south east of Fell Gate

taken 7 years ago, near to Crook, Cumbria, England

Spring south east of Fell Gate
Spring south east of Fell Gate
Barely a trickle emerging today. It has been built up in the past, presumably to provide a water source for sheep and cattle. I would imagine that it lies somewhere close to the boundary between the limestone of nearby Cunswick Scar and the underlying slate.
