SH8539 : Farm bridge over the former railway line

taken 8 years ago, 5 km W of Frongoch, Gwynedd, Wales

Farm bridge over the former railway line
This substantial girder bridge appears to lie just SW of the site of the former Capel Celyn Halt station, which consisted of a single, short, wooden platform and a rudimentary shelter. The girders of the bridge were manufactured in 1880 by the Brymbo Steelworks at Wrexham. The bridge itself is too narrow for much passage apart from animals or humans on foot.
