Located here. Link The City of Hereford blue plaque records that Alfred Cyril Lovesey CBE, born on July 15th 1889, lived near here at 3 Greenfield Villas. He was the designer and developer of the Rolls Royce Merlin engine which powered the Spitfire, Hurricane, Mosquito and Lancaster aircraft and the Avon engine which powered the Hunter, Canberra and Comet.
