Church of St Denys, Eaton
The church consists of aisled nave with chancel, west tower with spire and south porch.

The structure is essentially 13th century, on Norman or 12th century foundations, built in the local ironstone. Some 12th century material is thought to remain at the base of the tower.

Both aisle arcades are Transitional in style with circular columns and round arches, the south arcade being the earlier and dating from around 1200. It has circular capitals compared with the octagonal capitals of the north arcade. The columns have waterholding bases. The south door with dog-tooth and nail head decoration is of similar date.

The north aisle was rebuilt in the 15th century, probably about the time the clerestory was added, and the spire is also of the same period.

The roofs date from the period of construction of the clerestory, 15th century, but are carried on corbels which may be earlier. These depict a variety of faces, some of which are grotesque. There are also some grotesque wooden corbels in the north aisle.

The font is plain, in square format, and is probably original to the church. The other interior fitment of note is the traceried chancel screen of the late 14th century.

The church is Listed Grade I.
