City Mill River and London Stadium
City Mill River and London Stadium
London Stadium (formerly called, and still commonly known as, the Olympic Stadium) was built to serve as the home stadium for the 2012 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, hosting the track and field events and opening and closing ceremonies. It has subsequently been renovated as a multi-purpose stadium LinkExternal link with its primary tenants being West Ham United Football Club and British Athletics. The stadium is 6 miles from Central London.

City Mill River is part of the Bow Back Rivers in London, England. It formerly fed City Mill, used for the production of chemicals in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. In the 1930s, the mill was removed and the river was isolated from the tides by the construction of locks at both ends
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park :: TQ3784
The park was built as part of the venue for the 2012 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games, and was further developed over a number of years after the games.

Three significant buildings used during the games can be found in the park, including the Olympic stadium, Aquatics Centre, and Velodrome, as well as The ArcelorMittal Orbit sculpture.

The River Lea also runs through the site.
