Amazing finials, Station Road, Settle
The finials are odd; they match, but one is on the eaves, the other is not. The figure in top hat and gown, hanging on the railings of the steps, is advertising a play: "The Likes of Us"
Settle is a small market town in the Craven district of North Yorkshire. Historically in the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is served by Settle railway station located near the town centre, and Giggleswick railway station which is a mile away. It is 29 miles from Leeds Bradford Airport. The main road through Settle is the B6480, which links to the A65, connecting Settle to Skipton and Kendal.
