Corbels and faces in St Bartholomew's Church, Sproxton

The nave roof, constructed in the 15th century, is supported by a set of 16 medieval corbels carved in the representation of mainly mythical creatures, but including a pig, an owl and some human heads. The one in the north west corner of the nave looks like a turkey, but these were not introduced until the middle of the 16th century.
Also included are some of the wooden faces to be found 'supporting' the south aisle roof.
