Claymills Victorian Pumping Station - B engine counter
Claymills Victorian Pumping Station - B engine counter
The counter was installed and set to zero during the restoration of B engine. By this stage it had done 125 revolutions on the barring engine, including about 30 during a trial steaming that was abandoned when it failed to condense and the house filled with steam. The next attempt later in the day was rewarded with a good vacuum and over 1000 revolutions of smooth, stable running.
