SD7274 : Limestone pavement, White Scars

taken 2 years ago, 3 km from Chapel-le-Dale, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Limestone pavement, White Scars
Limestone pavement, White Scars
The pavement is very dissected here which makes for awkward walking. This is particularly so with watering eyes from the bitter wind. Despite the Arctic-like conditions most of the recent snow has melted off the upper slopes of Ingleborough.
