Double Bridge
Double Bridge
This bridge can be seen being renovated ST9369 : Double Bridge and when recently completed ST9369 : Double Bridge. Since then, a plaque has been placed on the bridge commemorating its re-opening by Camilla Duchess of Cornwall, who has local connexions. On a wet New Year's Day some walkers are sharing mince pies and mulled wine underneath, so the double width is useful.

[2018 update: after over 100 years, boats can now pass under the bridge again LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) ]
