taken 13 years ago, near to Wribbenhall, Worcestershire, England

West end at Dowles - Worcestershire
West end at Dowles - Worcestershire
The western abutment of the former Dowles Bridge, which once crossed the Severn here, carrying the now-vanished Bewdley to Tenbury Wells railway line. The first train crossed on 5th August 1864 and the bridge was finally dismantled in 1964 after the closure of the line. What price a future cycle/walking route? The walkers were Railway Ramblers members attending the 2013 AGM (Annual General Meeting) at Kidderminster Railway Station. Time photo taken 10.29 am BST (British Summer Time).
