taken 7 years ago, near to Long Eaton, Derbyshire, England

The former Long Eaton Junction
The former Long Eaton Junction
At this point, the Midland Railway Loop Line used to leave the Derby & Nottingham Line. It then passed under the bridge on the extreme left before joining the Trent and Toton Lines at Meadow Lane Junction. The Meadow Lane Junction has also been known as the North Erewash Junction. The curve of track connecting the two has been variously called, Nottingham Loop, Loop Line and Long Eaton Curve. It closed in the early 1970s.
