Solar Meadow in Midlothian

A meadow of over 2500 solar panels, installed in 2013, on the Midlothian Campus of Edinburgh College on the outskirts of Eskbank, it provides energy for the college [enough to power 170 homes]. It is Scotland’s first Solar Meadow and the first teaching project of its kind in Scotland and will allow the next generation of engineers to develop essential skills for the growing renewable energy sector LinkExternal link LinkExternal link. When information is available it will be interesting to compare with a similar installation at Edinburgh Napier University Link
