Discussion on ST8260
A sign on the bridge reads:
"Bradford on Avon
TOWN BRIDGE
Dates from the 13th century and was doubled in width in 1769. The 17th-century Lock-up may have replaced a medieval chapel. The weather vane is known as The Bradford Gudgeon. The bridge is in the care of Wiltshire County Council.
