Lancaster Park & Ride
Lancaster Park & Ride
The Park & Ride scheme was introduced in December 2016, as a planning condition for the Heysham to M6 link road.
This coincided with a reduction in high street shopping, the closure of museums and a reduction in city centre traffic as a result of the new road. Buses run every 30 minutes to/from the city centre and bus station, but do not call at the railway station.
The parking area is on the west side of the M6, between the motorway and the northbound exit slip road. Currently, there are no other facilities here.
