Blaydes Staith, Kingston upon Hull - Archaeology
A site bounded by Blaydes Staith, High Street, Alfred Gelder Street and the river Hull was archaeologically evaluated in 1989 in advance of a proposed development. The survey produced extensive evidence of the original medieval waterfront and medieval timber vats most likely to have been used to store fish.
