Bridge 45: close up
Bridge 45: close up
Another shot of Morris' bridge which carries Moss Lane over the Llangollen Canal. When I lived on a narrowboat on my own in the later 1990s, lift bridges were the one thing I never worked out how to operate singlehanded: the mechanism for raising the bridge is on the opposite side to the towpath, and how do you get back across the canal to your boat once you've raised the bridge?
