NZ2518 : Trees in hedge line

Trees in hedge line
Trees in hedge line
Hedges are of course grown mainly from tree species many of which presumably would grow into mature trees if the hedge is not managed. It seems likely that in the days when hedge trimming was done manually the two trees seen in this stretch of hedging managed to outgrow the ability of the pruner to keep their height down. (Or perhaps occasional ones were just allowed to mature for some reason.)
